Joys in March

5 April 2018

Happy April! I'm here with a slightly later edition for my 'Joys in March' as things have been a little busy over the past few weeks. Since starting a new job I've been working around a different routine, but now that I'm getting used to it I've finally managed to plan some time in the week to focus on the blog! So without further ado here's a little round up of some joys in March!

1. Spotting the blossom trees. I went on a short walk around the village the other week and I was so happy to see that the blossom trees are starting to bloom. I've also seen so many blossom trees on my travels in whites and pinks, which makes my travels much more beautiful.

2. A successful job interview. I've never been fully confident in interviews but after a few over the past couple of weeks I'm slowly getting my confidence back. After many anxiety filled interviews I received a successful call back from a recent one!

3. The clocks going forward. The weather may be grey and gloomy lately but it definitely makes such a difference with the lighter evenings!

4. Second trailer release for Infinity War and a first trailer for The Crimes of Grindelwald. Words cannot describe how excited I am for Avengers: Infinity War! I'm quite a big Marvel fan and this is one of the films I've been looking forward to for such a long time. I'm also rather looking forward to the second Fantastic Beasts film!

5. Finishing Gilmore Girls and A Year In The Life. I started Gilmore Girls last autumn (a perfect time of the year for it!) and I'm so glad I was introduced to it! It's such a perfect cosy show to watch, I loved the characters and I am sure I'll end up watching it all over again at some point.

6. Finally getting around to watching Thor Ragnarok!

7. Watching new episodes of the last ever season of Once Upon A Time on Netflix.

8. Visiting Trentham Garden centre and enjoying a wander around the village shops.

9. Getting back into journaling. I finally bought a new journal for this year in February and I've been writing in it a lot over the past few weeks. I've had quite a bit on my mind and a few ups and downs with my anxiety, but writing in my journal has helped so much just to get all my thoughts down onto paper.

10. Baking my first ever batch of hot cross buns! One of my main baking goals for this year is to move out of my baking comfort zone and have a go at baking new things. I usually avoid bread related recipes as I've never really got along with proving and kneading doughs. But since it was Easter I thought I would have a go at making some hot cross buns. They turned out much better than expected and I had a lot of fun making them! I used a recipe via the BBC Food website which I definitely recommend!

What have been your joys in March?
