Chatsworth Summer Snapshots & A Little Catch Up

29 July 2018

A few weeks back we took a drive out to the peak district, through the towns of Matlock and Bakewell towards the beautiful Chatsworth House. It was so nice to get back out into the countryside again, taking a drive around the scenic, winding countryside roads with the windows down, and passing through the quaint villages of stone cottages and little shops and cafes.

July in the garden. Sweet Peas, Sunflowers & Hedgehog Visits

18 July 2018

I had been on weather watch all week, hoping that rain would be on it's way. Then last Friday afternoon, dark grey clouds were looming over, which was a sure sign that a shower of rain was close by. I stepped outside in the garden as the rain started to fall, which felt so refreshing after the heat we've had over these past few weeks. I came back inside and watched the downpour from my bedroom window, listening to the soothing sound of the rain. I even spotted people down the street watching the rain from their windows too. It may have been a short downpour, but it was definitely needed, especially for the garden!

Things To See & Do This Summer

8 July 2018

Summer is my favourite time for slowing down and being outdoors. Discovering all the beautiful wildflowers, enjoying a cup of tea or iced coffee out in the garden and long walks in the sunshine. So here are a few ideas for things to see and do this summer!
